The Texture Vs Race Collaborative embodies Keya's core values carried in her education, which is reflected in the Texture Vs Race Collaborative divisions. The Texture Vs Race Collaborative contains education for all members that covers mastering cutting, coloring, and styling all textures and fabrics of hair. Additionally, the Texture s Race Collaborative provides members with business building classes, content creation courses, and more. At the same time, the Allyship Support Division and the REPHAIRations Division provide members with additional material tailored to fill the gaps left by the industry's racial segregation of information.

Reserved for non-Black stylists, this branch of education helps bring cultural awareness into the salon to foster a more inclusive and diverse space for both the professional and the end client. Texture Vs Race Collaborative Allyship members gain access to the full Texture vs Race Collaborative Curriculum in addition to access to the Allyship Division for DIE community with opportunities for anti-racism coaching, book clubs, guided learning, live sessions and more.

Reserved for Black stylists, the REPAIRations Division aims to educate Black stylists at the same rate as their white counterparts. Historic redlining of Black salons has left the industry's “standard” education out of reach for many Black and brown communities. To repair this damage, collaborative coaches and brands have provided additional technical education to bridge this gap.

We intend to educate the Black/brown community at the same rate we educate the white market. The salon industry is deeply afflicted by the residue of racial biases, which has been the driving force of the silent segregation that has taken root within the salon industry's education itself. We are changing that through collaboration to all grow together in our rapidly diversified world.

Equitable Education by definition means that an individual or group receives education tailored to their needs to help them succeed at the same rate as those around them. The salon industry is majorly segregated along racial lines due to the historic redlining of Black salons and stylists. In the case of our industry, Equitable Education comes in the form of providing Black stylists with additional education so that they are educated at the same rate as their white counterparts.

Those who are caught impersonating a Black stylists during membership registration will be banned from the Texture Vs Race Collaborative and future events by Keya Neal, Kolour Kulture, Texture Vs Race, and REPAIRations. No refund of any fees will be issued for fraudulent registration.
